The world is currently facing an extremely difficult time. Almost all of us are or have suffered in some way throughout this terrible time. Most of us still are.
At Enriching Communities we have worked tirelessly so that we can find new and innovative ways to continue providing our wonderful community with activities, music, dance, entertainment, therapy and most of all happiness. When, at a time when people needs these simple things in life the most, it has been taken away from us.
More people than ever are suffering the affects of loss, loneliness and isolation and many are in desperate need for social interaction, physical therapy and mental stimulation. Unfortunately to keep each other safe this is becoming more and more difficult.
Thankfully. Due to the hard work of the team at Enriching Communities to try to come up with new ways of keeping in contact with our community. The help and generosity of some wonderful funders, and of course the effort put in by carers and managers of homes to make things work and happen. We have been able to create studio spaces and authentic settings using green screen technology and 'zoom' to keep bringing musical therapy through movement and song to the homes of so many members of our community. Young, old and everybody in between!
See below for some of the activities we have been offering during lockdown measures...
we provide regular zoom concerts to Care homes & other groups across the country. Monthly themes from musicals to wartime & swing. As well as concerts for special occasions such as Valentines day & Christmas.
Working alongside partners 'Sporting Communities' and through local and national funding we provide seated chair dance, exercise sessions tailored for our elderly community and of course anybody else that wishes to get up and dance! Take a look at our home page for some of our promotional videos,
Music, movement and dance sessions are brought straight in to the classrooms of nurseries telling children tales through music and movement to provide some much needed fun and interaction during these difficult times. Look out for our new 'Inter-generational' classes coming soon! Bringing together 'young & old'.
